You're reading it. The whole thing is a few markdown files, a Vite glob, and a CSS background of repeating ruled lines.

Why

I wanted a journal that felt like a journal. Most blog templates look like product pages. I wanted ruled paper, handwritten ink, and the same small set of choices I'd make in a real notebook: pen color, paper type, font.

What's under the hood

• TanStack Start for file-based routing.
• Tailwind v4 with a paper-lavender palette.
• The Excalidraw "Virgil" handwritten font, self-hosted.
• Reader preferences (font, paper, theme) stored in localStorage.

No database. No backend. Adding a new entry is one new .md file.
